A Vegas Quartet – The Shops at Casa de Shenandoah

February 29, 2016

Beyond our Casa de Shenandoah estate tours and informational film about Wayne Newton’s life, another wonderful experience for our visitors is The Shops at Shenandoah.

Actually, it’s more like four experiences!

Located in our spacious Visitor Center, The Shops at Shenandoah are divided into four sections, each with their own specialty.

The central shop is Wayne’s World. Here visitors of all stripes – from lifelong followers to new friends – will find an abundance of collector’s items and memorabilia. There are many shirts emblazoned with Casa de Shenandoah themes, from bedazzled “Danke Schoen” v-necks to “tees” featuring the unforgettable face of Boo, our resident capuchin monkey. For our many equestrian-minded guests, we also have shirts featuring majestic Arabian horses.

As Wayne is a lifelong supporter of the brave men and women that serve in America’s armed forces, we have many items that express patriotism. Of note are shirts and hats commemorating Wayne Newton’s many USO show performances across the globe.

There are numerous items, such as polo shirts, that feature our elegant Casa de Shenandoah logo. And, of course, there are plenty of sparkling items for the best fan club in the world, the “Wayniacs”!

In addition, there are many CDs of Wayne Newton’s music to enjoy at home. There are also fun trinkets like fridge magnets and collectors pins featuring Wayne throughout his performing career.

Adjacent is Kat’s Korner, our ladies’ couture and décor boutique. It’s personally curated by Kathleen Newton, Wayne’s wife. There are many beautiful fashion items, like elegant pashminas and inspiring jewelry, to be worn. Many of our guests are drawn to truly unique items like comfortable robes decorated with Swarovski crystals and pajama sets featuring lovely swan imagery. For homes, refined items from French fragrances to hand-blown wine glass sets are available. A number of items feature peacock motifs that commemorate the lovely birds that visit Casa de Shenandoah’s estate grounds.

Near the front of the Visitor Center is a very special section, Lauren’s Lair. It takes its name from Wayne and Kathleen’s daughter, who is a great lover of animals and an avid equestrian. The store focuses on items for children and pets alike. There are many stuffed animals available for purchase. One particular favorite of our guests are the plush stick horses. They come in a number of coat colors, just like the beautiful Arabian steeds that live in our stables! Lauren’s Lair is a great place to find gifts for young ones at home.

Last but not least, we are the home of a store dedicated to Opportunity Village. This Las Vegas-based not-for-profit organization serves people in the Southern Nevada community with intellectual disabilities and enhances their lives. Proceeds from items like artwork benefit this worthy charity.

Our four shops are open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Visitor Shop is open to visitors on tours or not, making it a perfect place for vacationers to pick up presents on the way out of town. It’s also handy for locals, too!
